The GAPs and HACCP Food Safety for the Fresh Produce Industry workshop targets fresh produce growers,
packers, shippers and distributors, assisting them in
developing and customizing their own food safety/security
programs. This expanded three-day HACCP certification program will be held March 2-4, in Athens, Ga.

Mushroom gardening new backyard craze
Sarah Workman loves mushrooms, so much so that she grows them on her property in Watkinsville, Ga. She uses the homegrown fungi in recipes, sells them at local farmers markets and pays her property taxes with the profits.
