Walk Georgia celebrates two-year anniversary

Walk Georgia celebrates two-year anniversary
More than 3,800 Georgians spent eight weeks this fall "walking" across the state, losing weight, toning up and getting healthier along the way. They all participated in UGA Cooperative Extension's Walk Georgia fitness program. The program debuted in spring 2008. Registration for the next session will begin Feb. 14 and run through March 5.

Imported food numbers on the rise

Imported food numbers on the rise
Some 80 percent of the seafood consumed in the U.S. is imported from China. In 2006, about 15 percent of the food consumed in the U.S. was imported from other countries and that number has likely risen.
