Bamboo grooming day
The Southeast Chapter of the American Bamboo Society will host its annual meeting and grove cleanup at the University of Georgia Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens Saturday, Feb. 13 in Savannah, Ga. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and is free and open to the public.

Ants come inside for warmth, food and shelter
The Argentine ant, or sugar ant, frequently invades homes in Georgia. Less than a quarter of an inch long, the Argentine worker ants can easily enter a home through a gap or crack the size of a pinhead.
