About CAES: Impact: Making Sense 2005
Healthy Crops
Georgia is a leader of healthy crops.
Other states may be known for corn, hay or fruits. Georgia is known for all of those and then some. It is a major producer of peanuts, cotton, vegetables, famous Vidalia onions, soybeans and many other crops.
How did Georgia become such a crop leader? First, it is home to some of the country's best farmers. Second, they rely on solid crop science from the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
