About CAES: Impact: Making Sense 2005
Strengthening the Families
The family is the heart of Georgia. It requires attention, protection, education and support.
Primarily working with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the county Extension agents serving Georgia’s families, UGA faculty have tackled crucial issues such as health care, job skills, pediatric health, youth leadership, pesticide safety in the home, obesity and parenting. They have even helped families fulfil the American dream of owning their own home.
As the needs of families grow and change, the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences will continue to respond with creative, real-life programs and education.
