About CAES: Impact: Making Sense 2005
Safe Food Supply
Protecting and nurturing the nation’s food supply
With heightened concerns over bioterrorism, the safety of the nation’s food supply has taken on new meaning. Americans want to rest assured that their food is tamper-free, safe, nutritious and healthy.
The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences tackles food safety, production and processing, and nutrition education in a variety of ways. But no matter what the product or the approach, the goal is the same: a safe food supply for Americans and for customers throughout the world market.
