About CAES: Impact: Making Sense 2005

Water

The issue of water — quality, quantity and safety — continues to dominate the work of the College in many fields.

From well testing for small communities to irrigation efficiency for Georgia's farmers, from environmental concerns to economic questions, and from elementary school education to community management, the water issue seeps into every aspect of decision making.

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences faculty have been busy in research, teaching and outreach to support Georgians in understanding, protecting and managing this crucial resource.
