Academics: Admissions

Transfer Students

Each year we welcome numerous transfer students into the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at our campuses in Athens, Griffin, and Tifton.

Helpful Hints

We want to do everything possible to make your transfer as smooth as possible. A few suggestions are to:

  • Start early preparing for your transfer.
  • Work with your current college advisor to take transferable classes.
  • Review the UGA Transfer Admissions web site often.
  • Review the course requirements for your intended major.
  • Take as many core classes as possible at your current college.
  • Be aware of your college GPA.
  • Apply online.
  • Check your application status before the transfer deadline to make sure the admissions office received all your materials: all college transcripts, application fees, and your application.
  • Give yourself time to correct a problem, should it occur. Deadlines cannot be extended.
