2010 Budget - The budget outlook remains uncertain. There is some optimism that we have moved past “budget cutting” and are in the early stages of recovery. However, there is no promise that we won’t see additional cuts this year - this all depends upon the speed of the state economy. I plan to meet with all department and unit leaders on September 11th to talk about our next step. A Wimba discussion will follow shortly after this day. Until such time that we are comfortable that we will not have additional cuts, I urge everyone to continue to spend conservatively. My office will approve only the most critical needs until the final budget is crystal clear.
