Committees
There are so many ways to get involved! So many ways to help!
Volunteers of the CAES Alumni Association provide support for programs and projects created to support the needs of the College and alumni.
There are six committees focusing on different program areas.
Committee for Alumni Events: Responsible for planning and coordinating all CAES Alumni Association sponsored events. Responsible for suggesting other potential events for the Association to consider sponsoring and events the Association could work in conjunction with.
Committee for Alumni Relations: Responsible for suggesting and designing avenues to develop and/or maintain relationships with College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences alumni and friends.
Committee for Awards and Recognitions: Responsible for planning, reviewing, improving and coordinating all awards programs for the Association including the Hall of Fame. Responsible for suggesting other possible awards or ways to recognize alumni. This committee will be made up of a chairman, vice chairman and 11 members. Each year, some members will rotate off the committee and new members will be appointed by the president.
Committee for Development and Finance:Responsible for annual CAES Alumni Association budget and fund-raising. This committee would make recommendations to the board on possible fund raising opportunities and would work with the Coordinator of Development and Alumni Relations to locate and cultivate possible donors to the College. This committee oversees the Eterna Grants program and activities associated with the Eterna Fund.
Committee for Public Affairs: Responsible for developing and/or maintaining external partnerships with governmental and agricultural agencies and organizations.
Committee for Student Recruitment and Affairs: Responsible for developing and suggesting ways that the CAES Alumni Association can assist in recruiting students to the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and ways the Association can enhance their educational experience while attending the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This includes coordinating the scholarship program and graduation receptions and suggesting and planning other activities for students.
