Agritourism in Georgia
Farmers across the state are putting out their welcome mats and inviting the public to their farms for up close and hands-on 'agritainment.' It all started with pick-your-own farms; and now agritourism has expanded to include corn mazes, hunting trips, shrimp boat excursions and much, much more. At Lane Southern Orchards in Ft. Valley, cousins Duke Lane III and Phillip Rigdon invite visitors to pick their own strawberries, and visit the farm daily or for the annual spring fling and Fourth of July celebration.
