18th Annual Calhoun HERD Sale
With the new USDA performance standards for Campylobacter, a major cause of foodborne illness in the U.S., the University of Georgia has developed a 2 1/2 day hands-on intensive training program specifically for those who want to learn about Campylobacter and its challenges in poultry.

Tobacco Tours take place annually during the month of June in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. These tours provide participants the opportunity to visit tobacco farms, view demonstrations and learn about the latest research on tobacco varieties, insect control and current tobacco topics.
Registration opens January 1.
Visit with CAES Food Science and Technology alumni and friends during the Institute of Food Technologist Expo in Chicago. A brief department update will be provided by Dr. Rakesh Singh, CAES Food Science and Technology department head.
The Southern Peanut Growers Conference is held annually in July. During the three-day event, general sessions provided farmers with information peanut research, legislative issues and promotional efforts of the peanut industry. Farmers are also able to visit with many of the sponsors throughout the event.
