The Department of Food Science and Technology is hosting a special seminar presented by Dr. HN Mishra, Professor of Food Technology, Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His presentation is titled, "Novel Technologies for Food Product Manufacturing & Shelf Life Extension: An Overview of Food Science & Engineering Education & Research at IIT Kharagpur.” All are invited to attend. Professor HN Mishra received his PhD in Post-Harvest Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 1988. He has over 35 years of professional experience of research and teaching in food science & technology. Currently, he is a Professor at the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. He has published more than 270 research papers and popular articles in refereed journals of national and international repute, 4 e-books, 1 book and book chapters; has 8 Indian patents to his credit. Besides, he has been invited to join the editorial boards of reputed food research journals and has guided more than 170 student research projects including 09 Post-doctoral and 30 PhD Research Scholars projects. He is regularly invited to present his research findings at national & international conferences and meetings.
