The Research & Education Garden - Griffin Campus

Irises & Daylilies

Griffin is known as the "Iris City" and befitting that designation, irises and daylilies grow and bloom throughout the Garden, but especially in the Heirloom Garden.

From mid-March to mid-April, Touch of Mystique, Fine China, Latin Lover and other iris burst forth with yellow, pink, purple, orange and white flowers. The Flint River Iris Society donated and planted 400 irises which included 40 varieties for the Garden.
