Six Sigma Executive Overview: A one-day workshop

Workshop Description and Purpose of this Training
To familiarize key organizational leaders, with the core concepts and critical success factors for achieving breakthrough results via Six Sigma methods, and to develop a Six Sigma implementation strategy tailored to their work culture and business situation

Participants learn           

  • how to select appropriate Black Belt Six Sigma projects and how to write a good project charter
  • what to expect of Six Sigma Black Belts and how to select the right people for this role
  • the role of the Champion, including specific questions and actions for Champions at each phase of a Six Sigma project
  • recommended management roles, reporting relationships, timeframes, staffing requirements, training requirements,  and other considerations for putting together a successful Six Sigma implementation strategy
  • how to provide the leadership, support and change management methods required for obtaining breakthrough results from Six Sigma

Six Sigma Champion Training: A Three-Day Workshop

Purpose of this training is to familiarize managers and key support personnel with the core concepts and critical success factors for achieving breakthrough results via  Six Sigma methods, and to develop understanding of their roles and responsibilities in supporting Black Belts and  Six Sigma project teams

Participants learn           

  • what to expect of  Six Sigma Black Belts and the support they will need for success
  • roles and responsibilities of managers and other key support staff related to Six Sigma
  • what makes a good Six Sigma project and how project results are measured
  • how to provide appropriate leadership and support to ensure successful implementation of Six Sigma

Green Belt Training: Ten Days of Training

Purpose of this training is tTo develop the technical skills of the individuals selected to become key Lean*Six Sigma Project Team Members and leaders of smaller Lean*Six Sigma projects

Participants learn

  • how to lead Six Sigma project teams in the application of Six Sigma and Lean Thinking technical tools to accomplish breakthrough reductions in process variation and waste
  • how to apply group process and project management skills in a way that empowers and develops both operating teams and project teams
  • how to deliver bottom line impact on projects, providing immediate return on investment while building excitement and commitment to the organization’s  Six Sigma strategy
  • Lean tools to analyze value streams, identify and eliminate waste. Tools include, 5S, Quick Changeover, and Mistake Proofing,
  • Six Sigma tools to identify and eliminate sources of variation that cause defects. Tools include, DMAIC Problem Solving Model, Measurement Systems Evaluation, Process Capability, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis.

Black Belt Certification: Four five-Day workshops spread over four months

Purpose of this training is to develop the technical and leadership skills of those individuals who have been selected to become Six Sigma Black Belts:  continuous improvement role models, resources, and the leaders of the company’s large Six Sigma projects

Participants learn   

  • how to lead Six Sigma project teams in the application of Six Sigma and Lean Thinking technical tools to accomplish breakthrough reductions in process variation and waste
  • how to apply group process and project management skills in a way that empowers and develops both operating teams and project teams
    how to deliver bottom line impact on projects, providing immediate return on investment while building excitement and commitment to the organization’s  Six Sigma strategy
  • Lean tools to analyze value streams, identify and eliminate waste. Tools include, value stream mapping, 5S, Quick Changeover, Total Productive Maintenance, Kanban, Mistake Proofing, and Standard Work
  • Six Sigma tools to identify and eliminate sources of variation that cause defects. Tools include, DMAIC Problem Solving Model, Measurement Systems Evaluation, Process Capability, Design of Experiments, Analysis of Variance, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
