Tifton Campus: News & Events

Merritt Myers reception

October 21, 2009 — The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences hosted a reception for Merritt Myers on the UGA Tifton Campus Oct. 14. The Sumter County native recently moved from Washington, where she served as U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston's legislative director, to Valdosta to be his First District Field Representative and agriculture liaison.

"We will certainly miss Merritt being in Washington, but we are glad she is coming back home where her work, as well as that of Rep. Kingston's, will continue to be a tremendous asset to agriculture in the state and our college," said J. Scott Angle, CAES dean and director.
