Hay Production School - 2010

Hay Production School - 2010The 3rd Annual Hay Production School will be held April 8-9, 2010 at the home of the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition in Moultrie, GA. This event follows on the resounding success of our first two annual Hay Production Schools. Our partnership with the good folks at the Sunbelt Expo promises to make the 2010 Hay Production School to be our biggest yet! Plus, for the first time ever, our sponsors are enabling us to offer a special discount of up to 67% off to certain targeted producers (click here to determine if you are eligible.)

Program Details

The 2010 Hay Production School is in its final stages of planning. It is certain to be a very valuable time for serious hay producers to learn more about modern hay-making techniques. This program is dedicated to those who are serious about commercial hay production and those who would like a thorough, "A to Z coverage" of the subject. We pride ourselves in the fact that this training is unique in the Southeast, as it is essentially the only program of its kind.

Below is an outline of the major topics that we cover (we may be adding to or slightly modifiying this list as we plan for the program). The current version of the program's agenda can be found here.

Registration

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and the Sunbelt Ag Expo, we will be able to keep the registration fee at $75 ($35 per additional person from the same farm). This is same price as last year's event (which was a 1-day event). There is also a special discount being offered to beef cattle producers in Georgia and members of the Perennial Peanut Grower's Association. Web-based registration for the 2010 Hay Production School is now open!!! If you are ready to register, click here to register online OR click here to print out a registration form (just don't forget to mail it in!).

Local Accomodations

There are a number of hotels in the Moultrie area that provide excellent service. (Unfortunately, we are not expecting a need for a block of rooms large enough for discounted rates.) Here are links to a few where speakers and other guests will be staying:

"Southern Forages" is offered for sale as part of this program because it is an excellent resource for hay and pasture producers in the South. You can either order this book as part of the registration process for the Hay Production School, or you can order this book directly from the publisher (International Plant Nutrition Institute) by clicking here. Their website also has a more indepth description of the book and its content.
