Hairy Vetch

Photo: Hairy VetchHairy vetch is a winter annual legume that produces thick vines with a climbing growth habit. Following the habits of most legumes, it is an outstanding nitrogen producer (100 lb./A). It is suited to well drained soils, will tolerate a wide range of soil pH and is good at controlling soil erosion. It also has some alleopathic tendencies and will attract beneficial insects.

Seed 25-40 lb./A. August.
