Sunn Hemp

Sunn hemp is a tropical summer legume native to India and Pakistan. It is noted for its rapid growth and ability to fix nitrogen (120 lbs N / acre sunn hemp in 2-3 months). Sunn hemp also shows resistance or tolerance to root-knot and reinform nematodes. Unfortunately, sunn hemp seeds are expensive and in limited supply in the U.S., being tropically produced.
