MASTER EQUINE MANAGEMENT TRAINING

COURSE PROGRAM
The Master Equine Management Training Program is designed as an advanced training curriculum to inform horse owners about the many topics critical to starting and managing a horse related business. The course is targeted toward horse owners, trainers, instructors, boarding stables managers, and breeding farms. This is the first training program of this kind offered in Georgia. In addition to the basic course curriculum, participants will also receive information about available federal and state cost-share programs to assist your horse program. Instruction topics will include:
- Economics of the Industry
- Feeding
- Nutrition
- Waste Handling
- Horse Health Barn Design and Management
- Soil
- Water and pasture Management
- Environmental Concerns
- Arena Maintenance, Legal and Liability Issues
- Economics and Budgeting
CLASSES AND TUITION
Classes will begin at 7:00 pm each Tuesday evening beginning October 9 and run for a six-week period ending November 13. Classes will be held at the Greene County Agricultural Center, 1180 C. Weldon Smith Dr., Greensboro. Class sizes will be limited to the first 50 applicants. Tuition for the course is $100.00 per person and will cover expenses including all study materials, proceedings of the meeting, refreshments, door prizes, a Master Equine Management Training Graduation Certificate and a cap embroidered with the Master Equine Training logo.
