David A. Knauft

Dr. Knauft has had a career as a plant breeder working with peanuts and later with ornamental plants. He has taught many courses in genetics and breeding, research design, plant production, research ethics, and service learning. He has been an administrator at the departmental, college, and university levels. He is currently serving as the interim head for the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication and is a part-time professor for the Department of Horticulture. Dr. Knauft coordinates seminars on organic gardening, research ethics and coordinates resources for the creation and maintenance of school gardens (http://extension.uga.edu/k12/school-gardens/).
