Recent Faculty Awards
- Dr. Ron Pegg was selected as a Lilly Teaching Fellow for the 2007-2008 academic year.
- Dr Manjeet Chinnan received the 2007 Institute of Food Technologists' Bor S. Luh International Award at the annual IFT meeting.
- Ms. Kay McWatters received the 2007 IFT Elizabeth Flemming Stier Award at the annual IFT meeting.
- Dr. Louise Wicker was elected as a Fellow of IFT.
- Dr. Larry Beuchat received the 2007 Lamar Dodd Creative Research Award from the University of Georgia Research Foundation.
- Dr. Casimir Akoh was elected Vice President of the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) for 2007-08.
Recent Student Awards
- The 2007 UGA IFTSA College Bowl team was victorious in the Annual IFTSA Southeast Area College Bowl competition held at UGA in March, 2007. Teams representing universities from all over the southeast participated in the competition.
