Amazon Dianthus Series (Dianthus barbatus ‘Amazon’ series)
Annual * Full Sun

  • Cool-season annual, reaching 24 inches in height
  • Prefers full sun & well-drained soil
  • Series includes Bouquet Purple, Neon Cherry, Neon Duo, Neon Purple, and Rose Magic
  • Sweetly fragrant flowers have many color variations 
  • Attract hummingbirds and butterflies
  • Plant in fall for winter/spring color
  • Excellent combined with pansies, ornamental cabbage and ornamental kale

Rozanne Cranesbill Hardy Geranium (Geranium ‘Rozanne’)
Herbaceous Perennial * Full sun to light shade * Hardiness Zones: 5 to 8

  • Herbaceous perennial prized for its toughness and long bloom period
  • Forms a well-rounded mound 18-20” high.
  • Blue-violet flowers, 2 ½ inches across, with pale centers from late May until frost
  • Prefers well-drained, amended soil and full sun to light shade
  • Exceptional performer, even in unrelenting summer heat and humidity
  • Light shearing in late summer will encourage new growth and repeat blooms
  • Excellent choice for perennial borders, rock gardens or decorative containers

Pride of Augusta Carolina Jessamine (Gelsemium caroliniana ‘Pride of Augusta’)

Evergreen Vine * Full sun to partial shade * Hardiness Zones 7 to 10

  • Twining evergreen vine for sun or partial shade
  • Grows to 10-20 feet and is not invasive
  • Double-flowered form of the native Jessamine
  • Use on arbors, trellises or fences, or to cascade over containers or walls
  • Bloom time varies from February to April; peak bloom lasts two to four weeks
  • Once established, it’s low-maintenance, pest-free and deer resistant
  • Needs help climbing a support as it lacks the tendrils and holdfasts of other vines
  • Bright yellow flowers contrast nicely with blues and whites

Paperbush (Edgeworthia chrysantha)
Deciduous Shrub * Filtered Shade * Hardiness Zones 7 to 10

  • Deciduous shrub 4 to 6 feet high and 5 feet wide.
  • Prefers shade and moist, well-drained soils
  • Coarse-textured foliage sheds in late fall exposing the emerging flower buds
  • Flowers are tiny, creamy florets borne in clusters on short stalks
  • Smooth, chocolate-brown bark provides striking contrast to the flowers
  • Dark-colored, leafless stems provide dramatic silhouette in the winter landscape

American Hornbeam (Carpinus caroliniana)
Deciduous Tree * Full Sun to shade* Hardiness Zones 3 to 9

  • Deciduous tree with broad, oval growth habit
  • Thirty to forty feet tall and thirty feet wide
  • Adapts to a variety of soils and growing situations
  • Tolerant of sun or shade
  • Fall color - shades of yellow, orange, or red
  • Likes rich, moist, soils along rivers & streams, but also adapts to dry sites
  • Excellent alternative to Bradford Pear
  • Useful as a specimen tree or hedge
