Choosing the Appropriate Presentation Version:

The Web Publishing Wizard offers the user various formats for delivery. Most users of this website will want to choose the third format option, Graphic Version (with RealPlayer narration), which includes the PowerPoint presentation and accompanying audio narration of the speaker notes.

To read along with the narrator, first choose the Outline Version, and print out the contents there. Then return to the format list and choose the Graphic Version. For a scrollable version of all the slides without speaker notes, see the Handout Version. We do not recommend the Text Mostly Version or the Text Only Version because they may be more difficult to read.

Moving Through the Presentation:

First, choose the Presentation Topic from your class. Then, pick which segment of that presentation you want to view. Next, click the appropriate format as discussed above. When you are finished with each segment of the presentation, close the window for that segment. The list of other segments to choose from should still be open on your computer.

To begin the segment within the Graphic Version (with RealPlayer narration), click on the title of the first slide called “How to Begin” and follow the instructions. The only place from which to start the narration is this "How to Begin" slide, where you will be told to click a link at the top of your screen to start the RealPlayer narration. The link looks like this:

You will need RealPlayer installed on your computer in order to listen to the narration. If you do not have RealPlayer installed or if you are unsure, go ahead and download the appropriate version for your operating system by clicking here. You will be asked to restart your computer when the installation has been successfully completed. At that time, navigate back to this page and follow the instructions.
