My research is focused on commercial bedding plant and perennial production. Studies on cultural improvement of pansies and vinca, growth control of container-grown perennials, and efficient use of fertility are currently underway. My outreach responsibilities include planning and implementing regional and state programs involving the greenhouse industry and serving as Extension Specialist in Floriculture. I teach Greenhouse Management (Hort 4050), and Interiorscaping (Hort 3140) classes at UGA. I currently serve as the Editor of Southeastern Floriculture Magazine, and serve as an educational advisor to The Southeast Greenhouse Conference, The Plant Growth Regulation Society of America, and The Georgia Flower Growers Association.
