'Treadwell' was released by Dr. Darrell Sparks in 2012. 'Treadwell' was selected from the cross 'Wichita' x 'Pawnee' and was originally tested as #34.

We planted 'Treadwell' in our replicated test in 2009 and it bore its first crop in 2013. 'Treadwell' is a large nut with excellent quality. Percent kernel is often around 60%, and nut size is around 52 nuts/lb. Color is very bright and the kernel is very attractive. It is not as prolific as 'Byrd' and 'Cunard', but you will need to crop thin it in heavy yielding years.
