4-H Youth Development: 4-H Club Meetings
Meeting Information
4-H Club meetings are led and prepared by University of Georgia 4-H faculty members. Club meetings are an extension of the University of Georgia provided to Oconee youth for educational purposes.
- 5th - 8th Grade: Club meetings are held during the school day once a month. Meetings focus on developing leadership skills through club officers, and speaking skills through oral demonstrations. An educational program is taught each month.
- High school: Club meetings are held after school each month at the 4-H office.
Meetings are planned and conducted by club officers and the 4-H staff. Meetings
focus on community service, fellowship and 4-H development. Membership includes
students from Athens Academy, North Oconee, Oconee High and Westminster
Christian Academy.
How Much Does it Cost?
There is no charge to join 4-H. Some optional activities may have a small charge. Registration fees for camps and weekend conferences are kept as low as possible. Scholarships are sometimes available.
