Baldwin Co. Junior & Seniors 4-H’ers complete portfolios for 2012 DPA competition

Fifteen 4-H’ers turned in portfolios in December to qualify for the District Project Achievement competition which will be held at Rock Eagle in March. Portfolios are only half the score. Now 4-H’ers must prepare a speech presentation with visuals. 4-H’ers, grades 4th-6th received the HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF WINNERS award at the area public speaking contest held at Rock Eagle on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Twenty six 4-H’ers competed with projects & speeches they had worked hard to learn & it really paid off with 20 receiving awards & honors at the event. Sarai represented Baldwin County on the NE District Junior Board & Maya served as a Senior Teen Leader at the event. Also attending, GCSU volunteer students Josie Smith & Amanda Fortson, Janet Palmer, 4-H coordinator & program assistant, Taylor West.
