It’s Georgia 4-H Week!“I am Georgia 4-H”
| Young people in Baldwin County know that they are GA 4-H! ‘I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service & my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country & my world.’ If you have ever said this pledge as a young person, you are Georgia 4-H. |
Community Service Projects important to 4-H'ers
![]() |
Baldwin County 4-H Club members have been busy camping and playing this summer. But they have also worked hard on a great community service project. Sewing shopping bags for senior citizens. |
On their last day of summer vacation 4-H’ers delivered almost 40 shopping bags to the residents of The Cottages. They had fun making the bags & it was even more fun to deliver the bags. 4-H teaches young people that "caring and sharing" is all part of becoming a good citizen. Pictured here are: Taylor, Catherine, Rob, Cole, Mackenzie, Christen & Ashley, not in picture, but also helping Maya & Sarai. |
Weatherization
Visit the link below for additional information about the program funded by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority.
Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program
Weatherization aims to reduce the energy costs of low-income families, through energy-efficient weatherization measures. The focus of the program is primarily with the elderly, persons with disabilities, and families with children.
High energy costs are an excessive burden on low-income families. Weatherization addresses this need for assistance.
