4-H Emblem

The emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter "H" on each leaf. The letters in the emblem represent Head, Heart, Hands and Health. Use of the emblem is approved per regulations by the state 4-H office.

What is Project Achievement?

Project Achievement provides an out-of-county educational experience and gives recognition for outstanding accomplishments in 4-H work. 4-H'ers select a project area that interests them. They then select a specific topic within that project to research and learn about. They develop this interest or hobby into a demonstration including a speech with visual aids. Junior and Senior 4-H'ers must also develop a record book of supporting material that documents their project work throughout the year.

Volunteer!

Volunteers are an important part of 4-H. We strive to offer a wide variety of programs that appeal to the varying interests of youth. This goal is unattainable without the support of our 4-H volunteers.

Any adult interested in volunteering with 4-H or establishing a special-interest club must first complete the volunteer screening process, which includes a background check. There are 4 steps to this process:Be a 4-H Volunteer

  1. The Volunteer Leader Application.
  2. Two (2) references will need to complete a reference form.
  3. The applicant will then go through a background check by the UGA Human Resources Department.
  4. If the applicant is approved by UGA, they will sign the Volunteer Leader Agreement form.
