Coastal Georgia Master Naturalist Program
The Coastal Georgia Master Naturalist program, (CGMN), is an environmental education program developed for people who wish to know, change and preserve the relationships between habitats and our ecosystems. The tenth Master Naturalist program to be presented in Coastal Georgia will begin in March, 2010. 2009 Christmas in Pembroke Festival - Saturday, December 12, 2009
The City of Pembroke and the Bryan County 4-H Club, as co-sponsors of the Christmas in Pembroke Festival. invite you to make plans to be in Pembroke on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 for a great day of family fun! This will be the 26th annual celebration of this event.
The 2008 Christmas in Pembroke Festival was a huge success. We had a perfect weather day for the vendors, entertainment, and the parade. We are looking forward to the 2009 Festival. We are planning to have activities for the day including a parade which will will last for about an hour. Entries in the parade will include dignitaries, horses, motorcycles, bands, marching units, ROTC Color Guard, antique tractors, Shriners, floats and much more.
Arts, crafts and food booths of all types will be available from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This is the perfect time to get those special gifts for Christmas.
A full day of family entertainment will start at 9:00 a.m. with choirs, dancing and vocal groups.
We will also be having a Car Show Contest/Display and a Motorcylce Contest/Display. Print out the application and return to our office if you would like to ride in the parade, put your vehicle/motorcycle on display or participate in the shows.
If your business, club or organization would like to place an entry in the parade and/or get a vendor's booth, just click on Letter and Application and fill out the application and return it to us with your check. For all food vendors you will need to click on Food Application, read the guidelines and fill out the temporary application and return it to us with your booth application and check. Pembroke is located at the intersection of Highway 280 and Highways 119 and 67, approximately 20 minutes from Savannah and Statesboro.
