Upcoming Events

  • May 26 White Water Rafting Come ride the Middle Oconee River. We will leave the Butts County Extension Office at 6:30am and return around 8:30pm. We will be provided a picnic lunch at Raft One before we hit the water. After our 3 hour trip down river we will return and change clothes. Please bring money to stop for dinner on the way home. Must be 12 years old to participate and parents must sign a liability waiver.

  • May 29 Wild Adventures/Splash Island Park We will leave the Butts County office at 8am. There will be one pit stop in Perry at Buckee's for restrooms. Wild Adventures opens at 11 am. As soon as we arrive we will head to the included Lunch Buffet (chicken tenders, hot dogs, chips, ice cream, soda) We will change into swim suits and stay at water park area until 3 when we will change into clothes and head to Wild Adventures. We will leave park around 5/5:30 and drive 15 min to CFA for dinner before we head home. ETA back to the Butts county office is 7:45.

  • Jun 4 Dauset Trails Adventure Day We will meet at the Butts County Extension office at 9:00am. We will begin a guided tour of Dauset Trails at 10:00am. Following the tour we will enjoy a picnic lunch before we head back to the Extension office. We will finish the day completing "Homesteading" activities at the Butts County Office (Ex. Butter making) Pick up from the Butts County office will be 4:00
