UGA Cooperative Extension
Candler County Extension Office:
Agriculture and Natural Resources
Our Agriculture and Natural Resources programs provide research-based information, educational programming and resources to homeowners and commercial clientele in areas of landscape maintenance, pest control, wildlife control, vegetable and fruit production, annuals, perennials, Gold Medal Plant winners, trees, shrubs, turf-grass and alternative agriculture production.
Soil samples can be tested to help clientele develop and maintain a more productive soil by providing information on nutrient availability and soil pH. Water samples can also be tested for safety purposes as well. Visitors can bring samples of plants, weeds or insects for identification and sound advice.
