The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension provides an award-winning fitness and weight control program called Walk-A-Weigh. This program is provided concurrently with the Walk Georgia program in Carroll County.

Sign-Up: Pre- Registration begins January 31st, 2012 at 10:00 AM.

Information: This is a 12 week program which will be held February 7th, 2012 through April 17th, 2012.
A "Reunion" class will be held May 15th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Walk-A-Weigh can be done with the Walk Georgia program which is an exercise program. A computer is used to track your actual "walking" miles across the state of Georgia. Registration for Walk Georgia begins Feb. 1st - Mar. 17th, 2012 online. For more information call 770.836.8546. As you log your minutes of physical activity each week, you will virtually travel across the state of Georgia discovering interesting facts about each county you “visit” and learning new ways to improve your health. We hope you will be inspired to join us and others in your county as we get more active and become healthier!
