4-H Youth Development Peanutrition Contest
What is the 4-H Peanutrition Contest?
The 4-H Peanutrition Contest is a nutrition activity for cloverleaf 4-H'ers. This fun and
educational event is sponsored by the Georgia Peanut Commission. Youth will learn more about the nutritional value and versatility of peanuts and peanut products.
5th and 6th graders will submit peanut no-cook snack recipes and prepare their snack for the contest. For example the snacks maybe a trail mix type snack, a peanut butter type sandwich recipe, no-cook cookie made from peanut products, just to name a few.
Competition is held in the Spring of each year
Competition Guidelines:
- Peanutrition is a county based activity for Cloverleaf 4-H members.
- Each participant must submit a recipe for her/his favorite no-cook peanut snack.
- Before the recipe may be submitted, a 4-H'er must make the snack and ask another person to taste it. Any recipe with inedible items will be disqualified.
- The recipe should list ingredients and to be used, the number of servings it makes, and directions.
- Winners should be selected on the Peanutrition Scorecard and should be judged on Nutrition, Appeal, Creativity, Flavor, and Technique/Presentation.
- There will also be prize categories for Overall Winner, Most Nutritious, Most Unusual, Most Ingredients, and the Messiest.

Cloverleaf 4-H'ers : 5th - 6th grade
