News from Summer 2009
During the week of July 6 - 10, 2009, Athens-Clarke County 4-H'ers traveled down to Jekyll Island, Georgia to attend Junior Marine Resource Camp. There, 4-H'ers learned about marine life and enjoyed interacting with other 7th & 8th grade 4-H'ers from all over Georgia.
7th & 8th grade 4-H'ers from Athens-Clarke County joined other students from the Northeast district at Junior Camp held in Hampton, Georgia during the week of June 1 - 5, 2009. While at camp students visited the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Stone Mountain, and White Water.
Over 100 Athens-Clarke County 5th & 6th grade 4-H'ers and adults attended Cloverleaf Camp at Rock Eagle during the week of June 8 - 12, 2009. They joined over 980 4-H'ers and adults from all over Georgia for an exciting week of camp!
News from Spring 2009
Twenty-four Athens-Clarke County 4-H'ers participated in the 2009 Junior/Senior District Project Achievement at Rock Eagle March 6-8, 2009. Project achievement for this age level consists of a demonstration and a project portfolio. Congratulations to our 4-H'ers!
News from Fall 2008
The Athens-Clarke County 4-H Forestry Judging Junior and Senior teams attended the Forestry Field Day on September 8, 2008 in Conyers, Georgia. The team has practiced all summer and did very well at the competition. Congratulations you guys!
