4-H Banner - Leading the WayWhat is 4-H?

4-H is a youth development program that seeks to build leadership skills, public speaking skills, citizenship and community service. 4-H is exploring, discovering, encouraging, challenging, and of course having fun! 4-H is a branch of the University of Georgia and Clayton County Cooperative Extension.

Who is in 4-H?

Clayton County 4-H is a youth development program. More than 170,000 Georgians are a part of the six and a half million 4-H’ers in the United States. One out of every six Americans is a former 4-Her. Over 4,000 students in Clayton County, grades 5-12, are enrolled in 4-H as part of the Clayton County School System.

  1. Cloverleafs (5th & 6th graders)
  2. Juniors (7th & 8th graders)
  3. Seniors (9th - 12th graders)

4-H Pledge:

I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living. For my club, my community, my country, and my world!
