Mar 19 Backyard Poultry 101 Are you looking to get chickens, ducks, geese, or turkeys and don't know where to start? The Oconee County Extension Office, with the sponsorship of Oconee County Farm Bureau, is putting on a two-day Backyard Poultry 101 program covering the basics of raising poultry. The program dates are Tuesday, 3/19 & Thursday, 3/21 from 6-7:30 pm. There is a $15 registration fee, and pre-registration is required by Friday, 3/15. The registration fee covers both days, where light dinners will be provided. Participants will also receive a gift to help them start their backyard flock journey.
