News - Community Service Project
Columbia County 4-H Club rocked the house at Junior Conference at Rock Eagle 4-H Center the weekend of November 6th! Our goal this year was to collect over 1,000 pounds.
Well are you ready for this...
Columbia County 4-H collected 1,451 pounds! That means we collected and transported 1,838,417 Pop Tabs to Rock Eagle that weekend.
You all are awesome! Be proud of yourselves knowing that your efforts benefited our local Ronald McDonald House here in Augusta.

Events
November 2009
24th - ARC Breakfast Meeting, 7:30 a.m. at Forest Hills Golf Course, Augusta, GA. Our speaker will be Jennie Addie, Manager of Green Thumb West Garden Center. Her topic for the morning will be "Winter Color & Jennie's Favorite Plants for the Landscape". If you plan on eating breakfast that morning, call the Richmond County Extension Office, 706-821-2350, no later than 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 23rd. Thank you.
December 2009
2nd - Gardening at Lunch Series, topic is "Gardening on a Shoestring", Columbia County Library, Evans, GA from 12 Noon to 12:45 p.m. Reservations not needed. The seminar is free and open to the public.
4th - 5th, 4-H Project Achievement Competition, Rock Eagle 4-H Center. There are still a few subjects open. Call the 4-H Office today, 706-868-3413, if you would like to join us for this competition. For more information, click on these links:
