4-H Youth Development
Dade County 4-H
4-H is a major outreach program of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. 4-H works in cooperation with the public school system, the University of Georgia, and partners in the state government to provide postive learning experiences for youth ages 9-19.
Georgia 4-H, a partner in public education, is youth and adults learning, growing and working together to experience and accomplish the extraordinary.
Our mission is accomplished through "hands on" learning experiences, focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agriculture awareness, leadership, communication skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship.
We assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing citizens.
Our vision is a world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for postive change.
