DeKalb 4-H Participates in Cans Hunger Food Drive
DeKalb 4-H is joining the Revolution of Responsibility by banding together to fight hunger! The Georgia 4-H Southwest District is facilitating the “One Million Begins with One: Georgia 4-H Cans Hunger”, a statewide community service project that will shake our nation and give a voice to those who have none. This is a new statewide community service project to help stop hunger in our beloved counties! By gathering canned goods for homeless shelters, Christian Kitchens and food banks stationed all over the state, we make valid our “hands to larger service”. Georgia 4-H's goal is 10,000 cans distributed in the state by 4-H State Council in June, 2012. Join our fight and help us show the world what DeKalb 4-H stands for: Head – Heart – Hands – Health! Please help our efforts by contributing. For more information or to participate, see the documents below:

4-H Ice Cream
4-H inspired the third best-selling ice cream in the United States, Blue Bell Creameries, to introduce their newest flavor—Centennial Cupcake—in honor of more than 100 years of 4-H youth development programming.
Featuring a delicious cake batter ice cream with pieces of yellow cake, a chocolate icing swirl and four-leaf clover sprinkles, the Centennial Cupcake half gallon is now on shelves in stores where Blue Bell products are sold. To sweeten the deal, Blue Bell is donating a portion of the sales to promote 4-H educational programs.
The ice cream can also be purchased online at the Blue Bell website at: www.bluebell.com/Country_Store/how_to_order.asp . So grab a spoon and celebrate 4-H by enjoying some Centennial Cupcake ice cream today! For more information, contact Georgia 4-H at 706-542-4H4H or visit www.georgia4h.org .
