What is Club Green?
Club Green is our afterschool 4-H club that meets on the first Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm
These meetings will offer a variety of hands on environmental education programs like recycling, lake ecology and reptiles, as well as other topics like dog care, cooking, community service opportunities, Teen Leader Certification and State 4-H weekend retreats and Junior Camp! This is a perfect avenue to grow in leadership, responsibility, and have a blast. This is your opportunity to be a leader and make a difference. Past Club Green Meetings
April's Meeting
Our April 4-H meeting was on the last Monday in March due to Spring Breakthe following week. 4-H'ers learned how to make seed paper using recycled paper from the Extension Office. After blending it in a blender with warm water they mixed in various seeds and poured the mixture through atray to squeeze out the excess water. 4-H'ers took their seed paper home to plant their own flowers andherbs.
March's Meeting
Our 4-H'ers learned about District Project Achievement, and worked in groups to develop their own presentation. Junior and Senior 4-H'ers shared their presentations. Cloverleaf Project Achievement registration forms are due to the office by March 23rd, 2012!
February's Meeting
Fayette County 4-H youth had a blast celebrating Valentine’s Day at the February Club Green meeting. Twenty 4-Hers gathered to bake cookies and create Valentine cards for local firefighters. After learning safe hand washing and food handling practices, they put their knowledge to good use to make 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies. Along with the handmade Valentine cards, the cookies were delivered by Club Green leaders to the firefighters of Fayetteville Fire Station 91.
Teen Leader Certification
Many organizations and programs need volunteers or a lot
of staff to conduct a successful event. 4-H is unique because we train teenagers to be certified leaders. They are then able to assist in many of the activities that Fayette County 4-H participates in throughout the year. See More information at
