  • Jun 6 - Jul 31 Applications for the 2025 Northwest Georgia Master Naturalist Program are available The Georgia Master Naturalist Program is a hands-on environmental education course that explores habitats and ecosystems in Georgia and human impacts on these environments. This 9 week program consists of weekly field trips with in-depth lectures from regional experts on a wide variety of environmental and ecological topics. Transportation can be arranged for limited number of participants from one of the three host counties. The program dates are every Friday in September and every Thursday in October including a overnight on Oct. 23-24. The program days are from 9:00am to 4:00pm with an hour lunch, not including drive time. Registration is complete once you have completed the online application and paid the fee in full through the Cobb County Extension Office. Space is limited in the class and registration will remain open until August 20 or when we have filled all spaces, whichever occurs first.

  • Jul 7 - Jul 11 2025 Cloverleaf Camp--Camp Wahsega, Dahlonega, GA Calling all 4th-6th graders! Cloverleaf Camp is the chance for elementary and middle school students to put their love of outdoor adventures to the test! This week-long camp held at one of the Georgia 4-H Centers located around the state provides an exciting overnight camping experience along with hands-on learning to create memories that will last a lifetime. Forsyth County 4-H will attend Cloverleaf Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega from July 7-11, 2024. Cost is $450 and includes transportation from our 5110 Piney Grove Road office, a camp t-shirt, and insurance. Initial deposit of $100 is non-refundable. Registration will open in January, 2025. Space is limited, register early!
