Franklin County Extension Office:
4-H Youth Development

Welcome Brittany Johnson!

We welcome Brittany Johnson to Franklin County as our new 4-H Coordinator. Brittany is a former Rockdale County 4-Her and joined 4-H when she was in the 5th grade. She continued her 4-H career through middle and high school where she was a member of the State Poultry Judging Team, State Consumer Judging Team and was able to attend 4-H State Congress for 4 years in the Breads Project.

Brittany learned so much from being a member of 4-H and her love for the program did not end in high school.  She attended Georgia College and State University where she received a degree in Early Childhood Education. Brittany became a Master 4-Her after her freshman year in college by receiving a 4-H Achievement Scholarship.

While in college, Brittany was a member of the GC&SU Collegiate 4-H Club and began to give back to the program that had given so much to her. She worked for the Baldwin County 4-H Extension Office as a program assistant and some of her fondest memories from college was getting to work with the Baldwin County 4-Her’s. She was also able to serve as a Georgia 4-H Camp Counselor in the camping program for 5 summers. She spent four summers at Rock Eagle and was the Lead Counselor in 2009. She also spent one summer at Fortson 4-H Center as the Crew Chief.

She loves 4-H and really owes all of her success to the organization. She is really excited to be in Franklin County and looking forward to seeing Franklin County “Make the Best Better!”

Please call or stop by to meet Brittany or you may email her with any questions about 4-H at britj112@uga.edu.
