General Info
Gilmer County 4-H is committed to enriching the lives of the youth of Gilmer County. Boys and girls of all ages (5th grade through 12th grade) participate in many different activities in the 4-H program such as club meetings (with officers), livestock showings, District Project Achievement, consumer judging, several summer camps, Project SAFE BB Match, Pumpkin Carving, Christmas Tree Decorating, sewing class, baby sitting class, Citizenship Washington Focus, 4-H Day at the state capitol, Six Flags and UGA athletic events in Athens such as fall football and winter basketball. There are trips to the science museum and the fair, and fundraisers such as Pet Appreciation Day and Yard Sales as well as ticket sales for Six Flags and White Water.
