Glynn County Extension Office:
4-H Youth Development

Welcome to Glynn County 4-H!

Summer CampIs laughing and having fun important to you? Do you like spending time with friends? Are you interested in trying new things? Do you like making your community a better place? Do you like to travel? Do you like archery, horses, technology, environmental science, marine science, photography, computers, art, sewing, landscaping, performing arts, singing, dancing, playing an instrument?

If you answered "Yes" to any of the above questions, then Glynn County 4-H is for you! For more information, read on!

Clubs

Cloverleaf 4-H is for students in the 4th-6th grades. Meetings are held once a month in each public 5th grade classroom.

Junior 4-H is for students in the 7th-8th grades. Meetings are held once a month at each public Middle School after school from 3:30-4:30.

Senior 4-H is for students in the 9th-12th grades. A community meeting is held for Junior and Senior 4-H'ers! This meeting is typically held on the first Monday of each month from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Glynn County Extension/4-H Office in the Ballard Complex.

Horse ShowHorse & Pony Club
There's no horsing around when it comes to 4-H and equestrian events. Glynn Co. 4-H Horse and Pony Club members participate in equine education, collaborate with local circuit shows, and learn about Georgia 4-H opportunities. Interested? Cloverleaf DPA - District Project Achievement
This event can be a life-changing experience for Georgia 4-H'ers. As a public speaking/performance competition, 4-H'ers are able to develop a project and present it to judges. Preview the information below or contact our office for more information.

Summer Camp

Registration is open now at the Extension/4-H Office at the Ballard Complex Suite 110. Limited space available! Must bring a $75 non-refundable deposit. Scholarship applications will be available upon request.

Wilderness Challenge Camp (6th-8th) ~ $350.00
Wahsega 4-H Center, Dahlonega
July 14-18, 2014
Wilderness Challenge Camp is for the 4-H'er in search of a little more adventure.
Campers must be 12 year old before July 14, 2014.

Senior Camp (9th-12th Grade) ~ $350.00

Sunday, June 29, 2014 - Thursday, July 3, 2014.

Senior EXTREME Camp (9th-12th Grade) ~ $325.00
Rock Eagle 4-H Center, Eatonton

Senior EXTREME Camp is for the 4-H'er up for a more rustic camp experience.

Who Is Eligible?

Any youth ages 9-19
Cloverleafs: 5th-6th grade
Juniors: 7th-8th grade
Seniors: 9th-12th grade
Collegiate 4-H'ers: college age

Does It Cost Anything To Join?

4-H membership is free; however, some optional activities may charge a fee.
