These classes are offered at various times during the year. The classes are from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. and taught in our office at 750 South Perry Street - Suite 400 in Lawrenceville. Our county agent, Timothy Daly, presents
the classes on various landscaping, container gardening, vegetable gardening, and much more. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (678) 377-4010. There is no registration fee for classes and everyone is welcome to attend. Go to our "News & Events" section to check for upcoming classes.
Extension Speakers Panel
We have an addition to our office for speakers that are prepared to come and present a program from our topics for groups, garden clubs, etc. Our county agent, Timothy Daly is in charge of the program and will assist you with our talented Master Gardeners or Extension staff. What is the Master Gardener Program?
The Master Gardener program is a volunteer recruitment and training program in gardening with emphasis on horticulture principles and environmental practices. The goal of the program is to train selected volunteers to assist in extending our community programming efforts. Master Gardeners are highly trained individuals who give unbiased, research-based
information from UGA on gardening and landscape related issues. Master Gardeners give back hours of volunteer assigned work with various projects. Visit the Gwinnett Master Gardener website at www.gwinnettmg.com.
Soil Testing
Let's begin with a soil test. So many times clients come in our office with questions about their lawn and we always suggest that we start with the base (soil test). Here is a link that will assist you gathering your sample. Soil testing in Georgia. You may bring your sample into our office in ziplock bags. Bring in 2 cups of dry soil. The cost per sample is $8.00 (cash or check) and results will be back in approximately 10 to 12 days either mailed or emailed.
