UGA Cooperative Extension

Hart County Extension Office:
4-H Youth Development

What is 4-H?

Georgia 4-H, a partner in public education, is youth and adults learning, growing and working together to experience and accomplish new directions. If life is a Highway, then 4-H is where you learn to drive.

4-H Motto

"To Make The Best Better"

4-H Pledge

I pledge . . .
my head to clearer thinking,
my heart to greater loyalty,

my hands to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my community, my country and my world!

Georgia 4-H Vision

A world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change.

Georgia 4-H Mission

The mission of Georgia 4-H is to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society. This mission is accomplished through "hands-on" learning experiences focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agricultural awareness, leadership, communication skills, food and nutrition, health, energy conservation and citizenship.

Georgia 4-H Centers

The University of Georgia 4-H Program has five centers for education located in different areas of the state. Each center offers 4-H Environmental Education and Summer Camp.

Forms

One fundraiser for Hart County 4-H is the E-911 Address Signs. These signs are easily recognizable by emergency responders (ambulance, police, fire, sheriff);and they are also useful for deliveries (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) The cost is only $15.00 per sign.
