Hindquarters History

In 1997 Henry County Cattlemen saw the need for children in Henry County to have the opportunity to exhibit cattle and learn about agriculture, so they re-created the Henry County Steer show. There were only five exhibitors that year, however, since its reestablishment in 1997, more than 50 young people from Henry County have taken part in the county show. The show now involves a Heifer Show as well as a Grooming Contest along with the Steer Show and Showmanship portion.
