Irwin County 4-H Club
Irwin County 4-H Clubs meet monthly during the school year with over 400 youth in Irwin County. Programs are offered to youth ages 9-19. In most cases, however, some pre-club activites are also available in particular projects (please read below).
Our most popular activities are competing in District Project Achievement, State Council, Monthly Club Meetings, Summer Camp, Shotgun Team, BB Team, Archery, Hog Project, and Poultry Judging just to name a few. Many projects are available to suit your particular interest, and there are many opportunities to learn leadership and give back to the community.

Your county extension 4-H office is the door of opportunity for you!

Membership Guidelines
Any person, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, or disability may enroll as a 4-H member.
Youth who are below age nine and are more than five years of age on or before January 1, of the current year, may enroll in the swine, meat goat or poultry as a Pre-Club 4-H member.
4-H typically does not charge dues or require uniforms. However, there are cases where fees are associated with certain events and programs.
Adult volunteer leaders are welcome and needed in all county programs. A registration form and certification process is available in all county Extension offices.

What is the mission of Georgia 4-H?
The mission of Georgia 4-H is to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society. This mission is accomplished, through “hands on” learning experiences, focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agriculture awareness, leadership, communication skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship.
Exploring and discovering, encouraging and challenging, that's what Georgia 4-H is all about. As a program of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Cooperative Extension System, 4-H is part of the nationwide Extension network.
4-H'ers are known for sharing their research-based knowledge and technology to people where they live and work. 4-H combines federal, state, and local expertise and resources.
